Understanding Show Costs

Show costs are often confusing and can be hard to estimate. Here are some things to consider.

Common Show Costs

Horse showing costs are highly variable and can be difficult to estimate. Here are some of the most common costs to consider as you determine your showing season goals.

Show Registration Fees

Each show will come with its own registration fees. These fees are variable and set by the hosting location. Fees are often charged for each class/division entry, so the more you enter, the more it will cost.

Trainer Fees

If you are going to have your trainer with you (you will for any shows attended by HBS), then there will be an associated trainer fee. These fees vary depending on length and location of the show

Horse Fees

Horse fees may be applicable if you don’t own your horse. If you are borrowing a horse for the event, there may be additional horse fees. HBS offers leases that allow for some including showing.
